RE-NOMINATION OF VP SHETTIMA CONFIRMS COMPETENCE, LOYALTY — SAYS SPEAKER ABBAS



​The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D., GCON, has heartily congratulated Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, following his official re-nomination as the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.


In a powerful press statement released on Saturday, Speaker Abbas described the decision by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as a historic and winning masterstroke that underscores the Vice President rare loyalty, merit, and unwavering dedication to the nation.


Lauding the President astute political acumen, the Speaker emphasized that this strategic pairing heavily fortifies the ruling party prospects, confidently asserting that the Tinubu-Shettima ticket remains unbeatable and will easily cruise to victory in the upcoming January election.


​Hailing the milestone as a victory for Nigeria political maturity, Speaker Abbas noted that the stable foundation of the administration is primed to accelerate national growth, development, and both physical and social security for all citizens, particularly the Talakawas (common people). 


Speaker Abbas noted that the APC National Working Committee's official receipt of the nomination forms on Friday ahead of the Independent National Electoral Commission Saturday deadline signals a melody of victorious appeal across the country. 


Consequently, the Speaker urged all APC leaders, members, and democratic elements to rally behind the presidency, deploy all available resources, and take the campaign to the most remote corners of the nation to secure this historic milestone for the Nigerian people.

The order was given by Justice Mohammed Umar following the revocation of Sowore’s bail and the issuance of a bench warrant for his arrest.
