A PATHWAY TO GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT WITH SENATOR GARBA MAIDOKI

A JOURNEY OF MENTORSHIP AND OPPORTUNITY WITH SENATOR GARBA MAIDOKI

Years ago, I was assigned to cover the wedding of Distinguished Senator Garba Maidoki’s daughter in Kebbi, a vibrant event that showcased the rich cultural heritage of Kebbi South. Tasked with capturing every moment, I poured my heart into crafting a detailed cover report and feature story that highlighted the joy, elegance, and significance of the occasion.

When Senator Maidoki read the report, he was deeply impressed by the quality and depth of my work. Summoning me to his office, he expressed his admiration and, to my surprise, offered me the role of his media aide. That moment marked the beginning of a transformative chapter in my career, as I stepped into a role that brought me closer to one of Kebbi’s most influential figures.

Working closely with Senator Maidoki opened doors I never imagined. His trust in me extended beyond the office, as he proudly introduced me to over 15 of his colleagues in the Red Chamber, referring to me warmly as “his boy, Markus.” Each introduction was more than a formality; it was a testament to his belief in my potential and a bridge to new opportunities.

These encounters with sitting senators provided me with invaluable insights into the world of politics and leadership, shaping my perspective and honing my skills.

Distinguished Senator Maidoki’s mentorship was not just professional but personal, as his humility and kindness made every interaction a lesson in integrity and simplicity. His guidance became a cornerstone in my journey, paving the way for my eventual transition to a federal appointment.

Earlier today, at the National Summit in the Villa abuja, I had the chance to pay homage to Senator Maidoki, who was seated in the VIP row alongside the Governor of Niger. As I approached to greet him, the warmth in his demeanor reminded me of the profound impact our relationship has had on my life.

Senator Maidoki’s simplicity and genuine care for those around him exemplify the power of good mentorship. His belief in me taught me that building strong relationships with honorable men can propel young individuals toward greatness.

This experience underscores a timeless truth: with the right guidance and connections, a young person’s potential can be fast-tracked, turning dreams into reality.

Let me stop here... I have plenty of them. I will write another story later tonight or tomorrow.

Lol 😂 😆 🤣. This man too love me.. e believe so much in me. 😆 🤣
