Senator Adegbonmire distributes free Fertilizers to farmers in Ondo Central














Driven by passion to boost agricultural production and to ensure food security in Ondo Central and Ondo State at large, the Senator Representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Sen. Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN has distributed free liquid fertilizers to registered farmers in Ondo Central to enhance their farming production for the 2025 farming season.


While unveiling the distribution of the free liquid fertilizer yesterday, Adegbonmire represented by his Senior Legislative Aide Hon. Akinloye Bolarinde said the distribution was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to improve livelihoods through investment in agriculture.


“The initiative is aimed at boosting agriculture and support local farmers particularly those cultivating vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, maize and okro.


“It’s a non- partisan efforts designed to benefit all farmers in Ondo Central Senatorial District to aid their farming operations so as to enhance food security and food sufficiency in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda ” He said


In his goodwill message, the secretary Ondo State Agricultural Commodities Association, Mr. Akinloye Ogunniyi said the distribution of the free fertilizers will significantly enhance their agricultural productivity.


“On behalf of Ondo State Agricultural Commodities Association who is an umbrella body for all farmers and agricultural commodity producers in Ondo State, we want to sincerely thank distinguished Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN for his support for farmers .


” This is a gesture we have been enjoying from him in the past two years. Last year, he gave us solid fertilizers and today again about five commodities under OSACA is here to receive free liquid fertilizers “


” This initiative underscore his commitment and support for farmers and we are very grateful.


” We are not politicians, we are practicing farmers and we have the right to vote for the right candidates during the election year.


” If you look at the population of Ondo State, you will know that farmers occupy large numbers and we are all ready to cast our votes for senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire at any time because of his love for farmers.


“We won’t wait until any politician will come and buy our votes with money, we will appreciate Senator Adegbonmire back with our votes ” he concluded.


In his own remarks, Chairman Tomato Growers Association, Ondo State Chapter, Omooba Adebiyi Oluwalanu while speaking on behalf of other commodities lauded the federal lawmaker for prioritizing the interest of the farmers


The beneficiaries which include Ondo State Chapters of Tomatoes, Pepper, Cucumber, Maize and Okro Growers Association were given growth enhancer fertilizer fortified with micro nutrients suitable for commercial farming.


The fertilizer also include improved seeds of tomatoes, peppers cucumber, maize and okro of high yield to support farming activities and eventually boost yield of crops
