You have lived an exemplary life of service, distinction, and unwavering integrity as a devoted husband and father, a respected administrator, and a true statesman.


Your record of excellence in the private and public sectors, especially your outstanding career at ExxonMobil, continues to inspire many of us in public service.


Our path has been guided by your remarkable leadership and dedication to the values of honesty, discipline, and patriotism. Your role in shaping progressive politics in Nigeria and your contributions to the All Progressives Congress have been invaluable.


As National Vice Chairman (South-West) and as Chairman of the Board of NNPC Limited, your guidance and foresight helped advance key milestones in Nigeria’s energy sector and political development.


Met him in the early 1990s when I was the Chairman/MD of Derin Computers, Mobil Oil’s IT contractor and he was the Executive Director (Finance & Admin). The Computer Services Dept was under him. Chief Olu Akinyelure is honest, jovial, strict and down to earth. He mingles with the young, old and mighty.


You remain a pillar of wisdom and an enduring symbol of selfless leadership. Your life has positively impacted our community and nation.
