Felicitation Message from Hon. Derin Abiodun Adesida on International Boy Child Day


Today, on International Boy Child Day, I, Hon. Derin Abiodun Adesida, representing the good people of Akure North and South Federal Constituency, join voices around the world to celebrate our boys the future fathers, leaders, and nation builders.


This day reminds us of the need to pay closer attention to the unique challenges faced by the boy child, including mental health, education, identity development, and protection from harmful societal expectations. As we continue to champion the rights and empowerment of the girl child, let us also ensure that the boy child is not left behind.


It is our collective duty to raise boys who are confident, compassionate, respectful, and responsible. We must provide them with safe spaces, quality education, and mentorship to grow into men of character and purpose.


To every boy in Akure North/South, Ondo State and across Nigeria I celebrate you. You are seen, you are valued, and your dreams matter.

Police – Amotekun Face Off : Nine Officers Seriously Injured, Hospitalized In Ondo As G3,Ak 47 Guns Used Freely It was a tense situation and unimaginable altercation between operatives of the Ondo State Security Network, codenamed Amotekun Corps, and men of the Nigeria Police Force on Sunday afternoon following a disagreement over the custody of a suspect linked to a stolen motorcycle. According to one of the injured officers of the Corps said a complainant had visited their office to report a missing motorcycle.
