"As a co-founder and leader of Afenifere, your unwavering commitment to the promotion of the traditional Yoruba values of Omoluwabi has enriched our community and inspired generations.
"While facing threats to your life in an attempt to liberate the Yoruba race from the oppression of the military administrations, you remained undaunted.

Pa Ruben Fasoranti has an enduring footprint in education where he imparted knowledge and values to countless students.
His political trajectory is deeply rooted in Yoruba ideals and principles, as a protege of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, he served under the Chief Adekunle Ajasin led Government and on the platform of UPN as Ondo State Commissioner for Finance from 1979 to 1983 where he helped to improve the State's financial capabilities.
