PRIORITIZING NATIONAL NEEDS: A CALL TO ACTION

By Bob Clifford Ofunne

We, at The True Democrats (TTD), appreciate the Senate President's initiative to conduct a population census. However, we humbly suggest that the government consider the current national priorities and challenges.

Why now?

Is it very important now that we have no control over our borders?

Nigeria faces pressing issues, such as insecurity, economic struggles, and food scarcity. We believe that addressing these fundamental concerns should take precedence over a population census at this time.

Effective governance is required by the representatives of the people, we encourage leaders to focus on tangible actions that positively impact citizens' lives. This includes ensuring security, promoting economic growth, and providing essential services.

A pragmatic approach is needed given the current circumstances. We propose that the government reassess its priorities and allocate resources accordingly.

We urge the government to address the urgent national challenges that require immediate attention.

In conclusion, we hope that our leaders will consider the needs and concerns of the Nigerian people more than every other thing and do not let the people see this move as another distraction and a means of wasting borrowed resources becuse the aim and objectives are dead on arrival.

By working together, we can build a better future we can be proud of.

TTD.
