GOV. AIYEDATIWA'S GIANT STRIDES, EFFORTS YIELDING POSITIVE OUTCOMES; AKURE NOW WEARING A NEW LOOK... Sunday Adejuyigbe lauds Ondo Gov Aiyedatiwa


...urges citizens to exercise patience with Tinubu, says the building process takes time. 






The Chairman, Akure West Local Council Development Authority, Hon. Sunday Adejuyigbe, over the week urged the good people of Akure and its environs to continue giving unwavering support to the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in his genuine determination and commitment to redefine governance in our dear state.


The admonition came while featuring on the popular radio program, 'Oro Oselu' on Crest FM, Akure. The popular politician maintained that Akure, the state capital, is now gradually moving from a glorified city to a modern state capital, saying Mr Governor's giant strides are beginning to yield positive results; from rapid infrastructural developments, improved security and to urban renewal initiatives.


He added, people may not see it now, but in another six(6) months, its manifestation will be obvious in all spheres the holistic approach and efforts that are being injected into governance by Mr Governor in the overall interest of the people of Ondo State. Kekereowo appealed to the Ondo citizens to ignore critics and continue supporting Governor Ayeidatiwa's policies and programs designed to improve the well-being of the people. 


When asked when ongoing dualised Oda and Ijoka's roads would be ready for use, Adejuyigbe categorically stated that efforts are underway by the authorities concerned to ensure that the long-awaited projects are delivered. He attributed the delay to the late Governor’s health challenge and other internal factors, but stated that by now, all those impediments have been tactically relaxed, and the roads will be ready for public use in a few months.


Furthermore, with the asphalt overlay of some major roads in Akure, dualisation of Okearo/Idanre Road, which has just been flagged off a day ago, beautification of roundabouts and other infrastructural developments going on in other local govts; I can say without mincing words that Mr Governor means business, and with God on his side, he will finish well and leave legacies that would be proudly remembered by all and sundry.


Adejuyigbe reiterated his commitment to grassroots developments, noting that as LCDA Chairman, his primary assignment is to ensure that people at the grassroots do not suffer any neglect either directly or not. He thanked Governor Ayeidatiwa for sustaining the idea of Local Council Development Authority (LCDA) in spite of some internal forces calling for its scrapping.


The Chairman, at the same time, lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for taking structural and decisive steps to stabilize Nigeria’s economy and other critical areas that needed attention. He further stressed that things are in a sorry state and messy because successive governments failed in their responsibilities, and no magic can occur at the moment. To build what has been bastardised for years takes precious time. The people of Nigeria should exercise patience while the reforms and rebuilding processes last.


Finally, he emphatically mentioned that APC as a party is waxing stronger on a daily basis, judging by the crop of political bigwigs from the opposition that are joining its fold. If this trend continues, 2027 will be a 'walkover' for President Tinubu and others. He called on every stakeholder in the party to remain focused, steadfast, and united during this period and beyond and not be carried away by the waves of defections.
