Born to Mr. Solomon Sabo Kpengyua and Mrs. Astira Maimuna Sabo, Dinya’s early life in a respected Christian family laid the foundation for his illustrious career.
His academic path, marked by a National Diploma in Special Education from Kaduna Polytechnic and a BSc in Criminology from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, reflects his unyielding commitment to personal and professional growth.
Uncle Dinya Sabo’s career with the Nigeria Customs Service, which began on October 3, 1995, after rigorous training at the Customs Training College in Goron-Dutse, Kano, has been nothing short of exemplary.
From his initial posting at the Enforcement and Drugs Headquarters to leading high-stakes operations, Sabo has left an indelible mark.
Notably, as Officer-in-Charge of Operations for the Joint Border Patrol Team, Sector 2, South-West, he was commended by the Comptroller-General of Customs for seizing pump-action rifles and ammunition in the Ogun axis.
His earlier feat in Lagos, intercepting 1,000 bags of foreign parboiled rice at Gbaji, Badagry waters, further cemented his reputation as a formidable force in anti-smuggling operations.
Sabo’s pursuit of excellence is evident in his participation in numerous refresher courses and technical trainings, both locally and internationally, ensuring he remains at the forefront of modern customs practices.
The IIPS banquet was a fitting tribute to Sabo’s stellar contributions, with over 150 awards and certificates to his name, including the prestigious National Security Adviser’s Special Recognition for his anti-smuggling efforts and a Comptroller-General’s Commendation Letter for arms seizures.
He's Happily married with children, Sabo’s personal life mirrors the stability and strength he brings to his professional endeavors.
