In a heartfelt message filled with gratitude and admiration, Hon. Barr. Kayode Taiwo Samson LLM, the Chairman of Akure East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Oda, has extended his warmest congratulations to His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on the celebration of his first 100 days in office. The Chairman praised the Governor’s unwavering dedication to transformative leadership and highlighted the significant infrastructural milestones already recorded in Akure East LCDA, Oda, and the wider Akure South Local Government Area.


Speaking to our correspondent in Akure on Thursday, June 5, 2025, Hon. Barr. Samson described the Governor’s achievements within such a short span as “monumental and reflective of divine grace, the voice of God, and the true will of the people.” His statement comes at a time when the state is witnessing a renewed sense of purpose and development under Aiyedatiwa’s administration.


Among the Governor’s notable accomplishments are the commissioning of key infrastructure projects that have brought hope to the people, particularly in Akure East LCDA. These developments, according to Barr. Taiwo, are not only improving the lives of residents but also setting a new benchmark for governance in Ondo State.


Adding to the celebration is the Governor’s resounding victory at the election petition tribunal. The tribunal, which delivered its verdict in Akure on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, affirmed Governor Aiyedatiwa as the duly elected winner of the November 16, 2024 governorship election. The court dismissed all petitions filed against him and the All Progressives Congress (APC), confirming the legitimacy of the people’s mandate.


Barr. Samson, a staunch supporter of Governor Aiyedatiwa, expressed profound joy over the tribunal’s judgment, emphasizing that the truth has prevailed and democracy has triumphed. He noted that the legal victory further solidifies the Governor’s commitment to justice, transparency, and good governance.


“The voice of the electorate has echoed through the chambers of justice, and the grace of God has prevailed,” the Chairman stated. He described the tribunal’s decision as a divine endorsement of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s people-centered leadership, which continues to inspire confidence and unity across the state.


In closing, Barr. Samson reiterated his unwavering support for the Governor and expressed optimism that the coming months would unveil even greater achievements.
