A Heartfelt Appreciation: Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire’s Humanitarian Gesture


I am compelled to express my deepest gratitude to Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, SAN, for his remarkable display of humanity. A physiotherapy student from Ondo Central Senatorial District, studying at the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, reached out to me in desperation. With only a balance of 450,000 Naira needed to complete his school fees, he faced the daunting prospect of an extra year due to the impending exams.


As a bridge between the political class and the masses, I brought this plea to Senator Adegbonmire’s attention. Despite our previous differences, he responded with kindness and requested evidence of the student’s situation. The student provided the necessary documentation through his father, and in an astonishing display of generosity, Senator Adegbonmire settled the outstanding fees directly to the school within 24 hours.


This selfless act embodies the kind of leadership Nigeria needs – compassionate, responsive, and genuinely invested in the welfare of its citizens.


Senator Adegbonmire’s actions demonstrate that true leaders prioritize the needs of the people, transcending personal differences and political affiliations.
