Honoring a Legacy: A HEARTFELT HOMAGE TO HON. DAVID ABEL FUOH AT THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY COMPLEX

HONORING A LEGACY:

A HEARTFELT HOMAGE TO HON. DAVID ABEL FUOH AT THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY COMPLEX

By Fuseh Markus

Yesterday afternoon, a meaningful visit took place at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, where I had the privilege of paying homage to Hon. David Abel Fuoh, the dedicated representative of the Gashaka, Kurmi, and Sardauna Federal Constituency of Taraba State.

The visit was a gesture of respect and appreciation for the honorable member’s tireless efforts in championing the interests of his constituents.

The National Assembly Complex, a symbol of Nigeria’s legislative authority, provided a fitting backdrop for this encounter, reflecting the gravity of Hon. Fuoh’s role in shaping policies and addressing the needs of his people.

During our meeting, Hon. David Abel Fuoh exemplified the qualities of a true public servant—approachable, attentive, and deeply committed to the welfare of Gashaka, Kurmi, and Sardauna.

We discussed the challenges and aspirations of his constituency, including issues of infrastructure, security, and community development.

His passion for addressing the concerns of his people was evident, particularly in his recent efforts to petition the House of Representatives over alleged killings in his constituency by operatives of the National Park and a non-governmental organization, Africa Nature Investors (ANI).

This bold step, taken in July 2024, underscored his resolve to protect his constituents and seek justice for those affected by such incidents.

The visit concluded with a renewed sense of admiration for Hon. Fuoh’s dedication to public service.

Representing the diverse and vibrant communities of Gashaka, Kurmi, and Sardauna, he continues to be a voice for the voiceless, working diligently to bring development and stability to his region.

My homage to him this afternoon was not only a personal gesture but also a recognition of the critical role he plays in Nigeria’s democratic process.

As I left the National Assembly Complex, I carried with me a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices and commitment of leaders like Hon. David Abel Fuoh, who strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of their constituents.
