TARABA MOURNS AS FORMER CRCN PRESIDENT PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO LATE PERMANENT SECRETARY'S FAMILY

In a heartfelt gesture, Baba Apostle Istifanus Bala Bahago, the former president of the Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRCN), paid a condolence visit earlier today to the family of the late Mr. Dauda Moses Maikomo (JP), the Permanent Secretary of the Taraba State Liaison Office in Abuja.


The visit, which took place at the family’s residence in the Federal Capital Territory, was a somber moment to honor the memory of Maikomo, who passed away on June 11, 2025, following a brief illness.


Accompanied by Fuseh Markus, John Fuseh, and Kenneth Adams, Baba Apostle Bahago expressed deep sorrow over the loss of a dedicated public servant whose contributions to Taraba State and Nigeria left an indelible mark.


The visit underscored the community’s shared grief and solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult time.


Mr. Dauda Moses Maikomo was widely regarded as a committed leader whose vision and service significantly impacted the Taraba State Government. 


According to statements from the state’s Head of Service, Dr. Hamidu Ahmed Kara, Maikomo’s leadership was instrumental in advancing the state’s administrative efforts, and his passing has left a void felt across the region.


The condolence visit by Baba Apostle Bahago, a respected religious figure, highlighted the late permanent secretary’s influence beyond his professional role, touching the lives of many within and outside the state.


Bahago offered prayers for strength and comfort for Maikomo’s wife and family, emphasizing the importance of unity and support in the face of such a profound loss.


The presence of Fuseh Markus, John Fuseh, and Kenneth Adams alongside Baba Apostle Bahago added a communal dimension to the visit, reflecting the collective mourning of the Taraba community.


As the family prepares for a state burial to be scheduled at a later date, the visit served as a poignant reminder of Maikomo’s legacy of service and dedication.

The Taraba State Government, through its officials, has reiterated its commitment to supporting the family, ensuring that Maikomo’s legacy is honored with the dignity he deserved.
