Youth Minister; NiYA's UAE Visit Yields Fruitful Partnerships

Political Impact News

Honourable Ayodele Olawande Nigeria Minister of Youth Development's four-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates ended today with impactful engagements at Alef Education and Hub71, two world-class institutions committed to transforming learning and innovation through technology.

At Alef Education, the future of personalized, AI-powered learning was discussed — and how it can accelerate the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA)’s mission to reach 7 million young Nigerians with high-quality digital education. They explored opportunities for co-developing locally relevant content, adaptive learning systems, and educator training programs that will benefit underserved communities across Nigeria.

At Hub71, the Nigeria delegation were inspired by the vibrant ecosystem supporting startups and scale-ups in the heart of Abu Dhabi. They identified strong synergies around creating soft-landing pathways for Nigerian youth-led startups, facilitating access to global capital and mentorship, and driving innovation exchange programs that can help position Nigeria as a continental tech powerhouse, Olawande said.

These strategic engagements set the tone for Nigeria culminating meeting with the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) — a global leader in shaping the future through innovation, foresight, and collaboration.

During the meeting with DFF, the Youth Minister presented Nigeria youth development framework, emphasizing Nigeria's vision to build a future-ready ecosystem that equips young Nigerians with critical skills in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and the Digital Economy.

The Honourable Minister and his team were pleased to find strong alignment between Nigeria's vision and DFF’s mission. Both parties agreed to explore collaborative opportunities to link Nigerian youth to global innovation networks, tap into DFF’s expertise in ecosystem building, and co-create forward-looking programs that empower Nigeria young people to lead the future.

Impressed by the substance and potential of this partnership, the DFF leadership extended an exceptional honour to Nigeria delegation — VIP access to the iconic Museum of the Future, a privilege rarely granted.
