Rep Adesida Bags Award of Excellence From Akure North Students
The National Association of Akure North Students (NAANS) on Wednesday conferred Prince Abiodun Derin Adesida with the Prestigious Award of Excellence.
The event which held at the NULGE Hall, Akure North Local Government Secretariat, Iju-Itaogbolu, was a moment of honour and celebration.
Adesida is the lawmaker representing Akure North and Akure South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The award was presented in recognition of his remarkable contributions to youth empowerment, educational development and community growth.
One of the major reasons cited by the association for honouring Adesida was his recent efforts in facilitating job opportunities for several individuals within the constituency.
His proactive steps in securing meaningful employment for the youth have been widely commended by both students and community members alike.
Adesida was also recognized for his unwavering support for students and young leaders in Akure North.
He recently appointed a number of student leaders into meaningful positions, giving them a platform to contribute to governance and community development.
These appointments, according to the association, have served as a great source of encouragement to young people aspiring to leadership roles.
The lawmaker was represented at the event by his aides, Hon. Akinseye Olawale Nelson and Hon. Banji Jegele, who received the award on his behalf.
Adesida expressed his heartfelt appreciation to NAANS for the honour bestowed on him, reiterating his commitment to continued support for youth and student development in the constituency.

Other notable awardees at the event included Hon. Kolawole Ologede, the lawmaker representing Akure North in the Ondo State House of Assembly, and Engr. Oluwalade Temiloluwa.
Ologede and Oluwalade were also honoured for their contributions to community development and youth advancement.
The award ceremony attracted a wide array of dignitaries including respected student leaders, prominent community leaders and the Coordinator of the Largest Youth Body in Ondo State (OSYN), Comrade Afe Ezekiel Adegboyega, whose presence added prestige to the occasion.
