HON. ABIODUN DERIN ADESIDA WELCOMES HON. DAYO AWUDE TO APC








The political landscape of Akure North witnessed a major realignment yesterday as Hon. Dayo Awude, Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the last Ondo State election, officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).


Hon. Derin Adesida, Member House of Representatives, representing Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency warmly welcome Hon. Dayo Awude to APC Akure North said it is a marked of significant political moment for the APC to further strengthening the party grassroots base and positioning ahead of future electoral contests.


Hon. Adesida, in his remarks, described Hon. Awude’s decision as a bold and commendable move that reflects the growing trust in the APC’s leadership and vision.


Hon. Derin Adesida also said that today marks a significant turning point not just for our party but for the people of Akure North. Your decision to join our great party shows the widening appeals of the APC and the confidence leaders from across political divides have in our developmental agenda.


Hon. Dayo Awude, reacted by expressing his readiness to work with APC leaders and contribute to a shared vision for sustainable growth and governance in the Local Government and State.


Hon. Dayo Awude further said, my move is about progress, unity and purpose. I am joining APC because I believe in the direction the party is headed and the leadership it offers at local, state and national level. I'm here to serve and work for the good of our people.


The defection was celebrated by APC members, community leaders, and supporters who hailed the development as a sign of the party’s increasing momentum under the leadership of Hon. Derin Adesida.


This political shift is expected to have wide-reaching implications for party dynamics in Akure North and Ondo State as a whole, as more stakeholders from opposition parties are reportedly in talks to join the APC fold.
