REP ADESIDA ENGAGES LOCAL LEADERS, STAKEHOLDERS TO FOSTER INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT

In a continued effort to promote inclusive representation and grassroots development, Prince Abiodun Derin Adesida, the lawmaker representing Akure North and Akure South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, held a series of strategic engagements over the weekend with key stakeholders across the constituency.

The meetings brought together local government party chairmen, youth leaders, representatives of the Imagun community, members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and various political and community-based groups.

Speaking during the interactive sessions, Adesida reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the constituency, stating that consistent engagement with stakeholders is vital to providing purposeful and productive representation that reflect the true needs of the people.

“Our strength as a constituency lies in unity and cooperation,” he said. “By working closely with all sectors of our community, we can effectively tackle challenges and create opportunities that benefit everyone.”

Adesida emphasized that representation goes beyond legislative duties in Abuja, noting that being in touch with the realities on ground is essential for meaningful impact.

“My role is to represent everyone, not just in Abuja, but right here at home. These engagements help me better understand the real issues affecting our people, so we can jointly design workable solutions,” he added.

He assured that his legislative agenda remains centered on improving the quality of life for residents of Akure North and Akure South, with a focus on delivering impactful, people-oriented projects.

Underscoring the importance of grassroots collaboration, the lawmaker reiterated his belief that strong relationships with local leaders and organizations are the foundation for sustainable progress.

“My aim is to work hand-in-hand with every segment of our constituency to achieve inclusive and lasting development,” he concluded.

The engagements were warmly received by participants who expressed appreciation for the lawmaker’s accessibility and responsiveness to community concerns.
