BAO’S FAILURE AND THE URGENT CALL FOR A NEW EKITI

Since the creation of Ekiti State, our people have yearned for true development, industrial growth, and a leadership that puts the masses first. Sadly, successive administrations have betrayed that hope. Today, under Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), Ekiti is sinking deeper into deceit, propaganda, and selfish politics.


BAO’s government is built on lies and intimidation. Instead of strengthening the APC as a people’s party, he has turned it into a private family affair, rewarding cronies and silencing loyal members. His much-publicized meetings with past councillors and stakeholders have yielded nothing, than mere political theatre that cannot hide his abysmal performance.


Ekiti people can no longer be deceived. Major projects that should have transformed our state into a hub of innovation and prosperity have been abandoned:


The Knowledge Zone — deserted and overgrown with weeds.


Eyitayo Estate along Iworoko–Esu Road — abandoned, now overtaken by bush.


Irewolede Housing along Ifaki Road — lying in ruins.


The Water Corporation project — abandoned, leaving citizens thirsty.


The so-called Rice Pyramid — nothing but a scam that never existed.


Textile revival and Ounje Ekiti project — another fraud that gulped money without results.


Ekiti Cargo Airport — swallowed by bush instead of aircraft.


Ikun Dairy Farm — trumpeted as a success, but remains a mirage.



Even the poultry project once paraded during Fayose’s era was exposed by former President Olusegun Obasanjo himself as nonexistent. Ekiti has been turned into a land of abandoned dreams and failed promises.


What we see is not governance . it is looting. What we have is not continuity ,it is waste. And what BAO and his clique of recycled politicians are offering is not leadership , it is greed, deceit, and betrayal of the people’s mandate.


Where is the blueprint for development? Where are the industries? Where are the jobs for our teeming youths? Decades have passed, and not one functioning industry has been sustained in Ekiti since its creation. Instead, the political class continues to feed fat on our commonwealth while ordinary citizens suffer.


If not for private visionaries like Afe Babalola, Ekiti would have completely collapsed. It is a shame that one man’s private university is doing what government after government has failed to do , putting Ekiti on the global map of excellence.


But Ekiti cannot continue this way. The time has come for us to rise and reclaim our fatherland. This fight is not just political; it is a fight for freedom, for justice, and for the future of generations yet unborn.


Engr. Kayode Ojo (EKO) stands out as the most competent, visionary, and God-sent leader to rescue Ekiti from this cycle of deceit. Unlike BAO and his clique of greedy career politicians, Kayode Ojo represents competence, integrity, and a genuine passion for development. He has the blueprint, the ideas, and the sincerity of purpose to rebuild, restore, and rebrand Ekiti into the land of honour we dream of.


This is the time.


Time to say no to failed promises.


Time to end the culture of abandoned projects.


Time to reject propaganda and embrace progress.


Time to send the cabals parking.


A new Ekiti is possible : with Engr. Kayode Ojo.

Let us join hands together, rise above intimidation, and vote competence over deceit.


EKO LAFE! EKO LOKAN!

Together, we will rescue Ekiti and make our state a shining example of true development.
