In Abuja, yesterday. In a significant step toward fostering collaboration and addressing critical staff welfare issues, JOHNFUSEH,  THE MAYOR of TARABA, a prominent boy eyed as a future governor of Taraba State, joined the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) leadership in a pivotal meeting with Dr. Saviour Enyiekere, the Executive Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).

The gathering, held at the NASC office in Abuja, marked the first formal engagement between the newly appointed chairman and PASAN executives, spotlighting JOHNFUSEH influential presence and commitment to public service reform.

The meeting focused on key operational and welfare concerns, including staff housing, training, and workplace productivity, underscoring Johnfuseh’s growing role as a proactive leader in Taraba and beyond.

Dr. Saviour Enyiekere, recently appointed as the sixth NASC Chairman and the first from Southern Nigeria, used the platform to outline his vision for a transformed commission. He emphasized the urgent need for a permanent office at the National Assembly Complex by October 2025, addressing the long-standing issue of operating from rented spaces.

Enyiekere also highlighted plans for enhanced staff training, improved healthcare access through an expanded clinic, and a housing scheme to ensure better living conditions for NASC employees.

His commitment to merit-based employment and productivity resonated strongly, as he called for a cultural shift in work ethics, urging staff to prioritize dedication over mere salary collection.

The chairman’s remarks reflected a bold agenda to modernize the commission, aligning with national legislative goals.

JOHNFUSEH participation added significant weight to the discussions, with his contributions emphasizing the importance of addressing staff welfare to enhance service delivery.

JOHNFUSEH commended Enyiekere’s leadership, particularly the expansion of director-level positions and the push for a permanent NASC site, which he described as critical for operational efficiency.

Johnfuseh’s presence bridged regional and institutional perspectives, reinforcing his reputation as a forward-thinking leader with a deep commitment to governance reform.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from PASAN’s legal adviser, who praised Enyiekere for initiating the dialogue and addressing pressing issues, while Johnfuseh’s active engagement signaled his readiness to influence positive change at both state and national levels.
