SEN. ADEGBONMIRE, SAN FELICITATES NIGERIANS ON 65TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY

The Senator Representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire, SAN, has joined millions of compatriots to celebrate Nigeria at 65, describing the occasion as both a solemn reflection and a joyous reminder of the nation’s enduring spirit.

In a goodwill message personally signed, Adegbonmire noted that the nation’s journey since 1960 has been marked by trials and triumphs, but never by defeat.

“The story of Nigeria is the story of a people who, despite daunting challenges, continue to summon hope, courage, and faith in their country.

"On this joyous occasion, let us reflect on the giant strides we have made as a nation and as a people

Adegbonmire urged Nigerians to see the anniversary as a call to higher responsibility saying “Independence is not just a date on our calendar, it is a daily duty — a duty to build, to serve, and to hand over to the next generation, a Nigeria greater than we met.”

The federal lawmaker called for a recommitment to national values of unity, integrity, and patriotism, stressing that the strength of Nigeria lies in its diversity and the resilience of its people.

“As we celebrate this 65th milestone, let us renew our covenant with hope and chart a path that secures prosperity, peace, and dignity for every Nigerian.

"Let us embrace our diversity and reinforce our resolve to build a better, and more prosperous Nigeria for generations to come". Adegbonmire stressed.
