THAT DAY HAS COME, AND IT IS TODAY: HONORING YA'A GIMBA YINGWA ON HIS SPECIAL DAY
By Fuseh Markus
Again, today marks the arrival of that long-awaited moment—the birthday of my most revered Ya'a Nigwa Gimba Nyivu, a soul who's woven himself into the fabric of my life like an irreplaceable thread.
Ya'a YINGWA is one of the best soul I've in my life. A passionate, humble, creative, patient, patriotic, selfless, a man full of love, good heart and a good man.
In a world that often feels rushed and indifferent, Gimba stands out as a rare force: passionate yet humble, wildly creative but endlessly patient, fiercely patriotic without a hint of self-interest.
Yaa GIMBA is the kind of man whose heart overflows with love, whose every action speaks of quiet selflessness, and whose presence alone reminds you what goodness looks like.
As one of the elder brothers who first sparked my fire for words on the page, he's not just a mentor, a big bro; he's the soil that let my wildest dreams take root, growing them taller than even he could have pictured.
Looking back in Jos, Gimba hand in my journey feels like a steady hand on the wheel through every twist.
Back in my journalistic program, NTA TVC days in jos, grinding through that journalistic program, he'd never once let me feel alone—picking up my calls no matter the hour, slipping me cash when things got tight, and somehow always finding more to give even when I came knocking again the next week with the same old woes.
GIMBA tutored my raw impulses into something sharp and alive, fertilizing ideas I'd barely dared to voice. And those quiet years in Jos? He shaped them without fanfare, offering advice that stuck like glue, support that carried me through school without a single grumble on his end.
YINGWA belief in me wasn't loud or showy; it was the kind that builds you up from the inside, turning a kid with big dreams into someone who could actually chase them.
What still floors me about Gimba is how he sees everyone—rich or struggling, young or worn—with the same deep respect and open ear, carrying burdens for humanity like they're his own to lighten. He's a builder of lives, especially the young ones teetering on the edge of their potential, and standing by men like him? That's my calling, my quiet vow to lift up those who lift us all.
So on this birthday, big brother sir, I pour out my thanks for every secret kindness, every unspoken investment that's made me who I am today.
May your day overflow with the joy you've gifted so freely—health, laughter, and all the richness life can muster.
You've earned it, sir. Happy birthday.
Lol 😂 😆.. forgive me sir.
Today, na the only day I can write a longer article to celebrate your birthday, and about you and all you've done in secret.
Hearty cheers sir 🫶🌷🍷
