The Federal lawmaker’s education support initiative receives widespread appreciation from beneficiaries across the constituency



Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency has expressed profound appreciation to its representative, Hon. Derin Adesida, following the successful disbursement of bursaries to students across various tertiary institutions.


The initiative, which is part of the Federal lawmaker’s ongoing commitment to educational development, saw hundreds of students benefit from financial support aimed at easing the burden of tuition and other academic expenses.


Beneficiaries described the gesture as timely, noting that many families are grappling with rising costs in the current economic climate.


In his reaction, Hon. Adesida reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring that no student in the constituency is denied access to education due to financial constraints.


He emphasized that education remains a key catalyst for development and that investing in young people is central to his legislative agenda.


Community leaders, parents, and student representatives also lauded the initiative, stressing that the bursary will go a long way in motivating students to excel in their studies.


They urged the Federal lawmaker to sustain the programme and continue championing policies that promote youth empowerment.


Several students took turns expressing their gratitude, describing the bursary as not only financial relief but also a gesture that reassures them of the constituency’s commitment to their future.


The bursary scheme is expected to continue annually, with Hon. Adesida pledging to expand its reach and further strengthen support for education and youth development in Akure North and Akure South.
