NIGERIA AT A CROSSROAD: A CALL FOR UNITY, PEACE, AND COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY

Nigeria is once again at a critical point in its journey toward lasting peace, unity, and progress. The current security situation calls for sober reflection and collective responsibility from every citizen.


I remain deeply inspired by the courage and dedication of our men and women in the Nigerian Army, who work tirelessly to protect the nation and maintain peace under challenging conditions.


It is, however, disheartening that some unscrupulous elements continue to perpetrate avoidable violence and insurgency, causing unnecessary pain to innocent people.


To them, I say - remember that no one leaves this world with anything. Power, position, or wealth is temporary; what truly endures is the legacy of peace and service we leave behind. It is time for all to embrace the principle of live and let live.


While Nigeria continues to face internal challenges, it is important that we reject misleading external narratives and appreciate the ongoing efforts of both federal and state governments to restore stability and empower citizens.


Nigerians at home and abroad must stand firm against divisive rhetoric and work together for a peaceful, prosperous nation.


Despite the challenges, the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is implementing impactful initiatives that create hope and opportunity for young Nigerians.


Through the Renewed Hope Agenda, programs like the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Programme, the Labour Employment and Empowerment Programme (LEEP), the Youth Empowerment and Innovation Development Programme (YEIDEP), the Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF), and other initiatives under the Federal Ministry of Youth Development are opening doors for digital skills, entrepreneurship, and job creation.


These efforts, alongside the youth-oriented programs of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in Ondo State, show that Nigeria is not a failed state but a nation rebuilding with focus and faith in its people.


As citizens, we must strengthen collaboration with government institutions, support the vision of progress, and contribute to peace in our communities. Nigeria’s future lies not in criticism or division but in collective commitment, discipline, and hope. With unity and perseverance, our country will rise again, stronger, safer, and more prosperous for all.
