Earlier this afternoon in Abuja, the FCT, The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) officially welcomed a delegation from the Adamawa State House of Assembly Service Commission on a crucial courtesy and learning visit to Abuja.

The Adamawa team, led by its Chairperson, Mrs. Hannatu Samuel Kadala, was received by the NASC Executive Chairman, Dr. Saviour Enyiekere PhD, and commissioners, including Hon. Aminu Malle PhD, the Honorable Commissioner representing the Northeast geopolitical zone.

The visit, which shows the interconnectedness of legislative service bodies across Nigeria, was immediately recognized by Dr. Enyiekere as the first such visit by a State Assembly Service Commission since the current NASC executive board was inaugurated on May 5, 2025.

During the reception, held at the NASC headquarter in abuja, Dr. Enyiekere commenced the proceedings with an opening Remarks and prayer.

Hon. Mrs. Kadala then delivered remarks, emphasizing the primary purpose of their mission: to seek guidance and knowledge from the NASC, which she reverently referred to as their "mother" commission.

Hon. Hannatu introduced her delegation, which included Mrs. Ruth Huram (Secretary) and Hon. Salihu A. Kabillo (Commissioner 1), noting that they had already acquired valuable insights in their brief time in Abuja.

The Adamawa delegation conveyed their gratitude for being received on short notice, stating their intent to implement improvements upon their return to Yola based on the lessons learned during the engagement.

In his response, Dr. Enyiekere, alongside Northeast Commissioner Hon. Aminu Malle and the other commissioners, officially welcomed the guests, affirming the NASC's role as a "father" figure to all State Assembly Service Commissions.

Dr. Enyiekere stressed the Commission commitment to enhancing the welfare and leadership of both state and national assembly service commissions.

Looking ahead, the Chairman announced plans for an imminent Zonal Tour across all geopolitical zones and an upcoming retreat specifically for the executives of all State Assembly Service Commissions, designed to improve understanding and collaboration.

He concluded by thanking the Adamawa delegation for their pioneering visit and reaffirming the NASC dedication to shared institutional betterment.
