WOMEN AFFAIRS COMMISSIONER, DR. OSAMAYE SALUTES GOV AIYEDATIWA FOR PRIORITIZING WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP WITH RECENT POLITICAL APPOINTMENT 







The Ondo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr. Seun Bosede Osamaye, has expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his unwavering commitment to inclusive governance, especially through the appointment of more women into key political positions in the state.


Dr. Osamaye, in a statement in Akure described the Governor’s latest appointments as a bold reaffirmation of his belief in the competence, strength, and transformative capacity of women.


She noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa has continued to set a progressive standard in Ondo State by ensuring that women are not only represented, but actively placed in leadership roles where they can contribute significantly to the state’s development agenda.


According to her, the Governor’s gesture aligns with global best practices and reinforces the present administration’s commitment to gender balance, equity, and fairness.


She added that women in Ondo State have consistently demonstrated excellence, loyalty, and vision, making the decision both strategic and commendable.


“We are grateful to Mr. Governor for once again showing faith in the abilities of Ondo State women and we are grateful for the appointment of  Kikelomo Ikuomola, Mrs Funke Ehuwa, yeye oge Funmilola Oluwadare, Alhaja Sikirat Idera,and Mrs Olubunmi Adekunle. Dr. Osamaye said.


Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s  leadership has continued to open doors of opportunities for women to serve, lead, and impact society positively. These appointments are not just political gestures, but investments in competence, diversity, and sustainable development. She affirmed.


She assured the Governor of the unwavering support and dedication of the newly appointed women leaders and the entire Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development , emphasizing that they remain committed to advancing policies that uplift women, children, and vulnerable groups across the state.


Dr. Osamaye further pledged that the Ministry would continue to work in synergy with the Aiyedatiwa administration to ensure that women’s voices remain amplified in governance and development planning.
