Admiral Navy Godfrey Kwetishe turned 59th today. I want to use the opportunity of this milestone in his life to acknowledge a few things people rarely know about him.


Admiral Godfrey is selfless,  his selfless life is a gift to many. 


To those who know him, especially those he has mentored and cared for, he is more than just an "Oga" or a high-ranking officer; he is an embodiment of fatherhood itself. Despite holding a significant rank and maintaining an undoubtedly demanding schedule, Admiral Kwetishe is known for an extraordinary trait: his genuine simplicity and accessibility. It's a rare quality in high-profile service—the assurance that a missed call will be returned immediately, demonstrating a deep-seated respect and commitment to every person who reaches out to him.


​Admiral Kwetishe life is a living lesson in core values: the strength of Covenant, the necessity of Sacrifice, and the power of Humility. 


He possesses that uncommon wisdom to understand the proper place for each of these in both his professional and personal life.


On this day, i honor and appreciate not only his rank but the immense goodness he embodies.


Admiral Godfrey dedication to our nation and state is evident in the many sacrifices he has made and continues to offer in his distinguished service.


Godfrey efforts have taken him across the country and around the world, yet he consistently makes significant time for the many people whose lives he touches.


​Sir, as you turn 59, i extend my heartfelt gratitude for your constant guidance, your unwavering support, and the leadership you exemplify—not through command, but through character.
