In ​Jalingo, Taraba State, Hon. Chief Iliya Ezekiel, FCAI, a figure widely regarded as a valuable asset to the Ichen and other tribal nations, has reinforced his strong community ties and political standing through a series of high-profile engagements in Taraba State, setting the stage for what many anticipate will be a formidable bid for the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections.


​The respected Chief took center stage in Jalingo, where he served as the Chairman of the Occasion at the wedding ceremony of the son of retired Permanent Secretary, Mr. I. KIFASI.


The event saw Chief Ezekiel celebrating the joyous union with the happy couple, underscoring his deep connection and support for prominent families within the state.


​Demonstrating his dedication to development, Hon. Chief Iliya Ezekiel also actively participated in a significant fundraising event organized by the Jalingo Branch of the Ichen Cultural and Development Association (ICADA). 


The funds raised are earmarked for the crucial ICADA Hall project.


​Hon. Chief Iliya Ezekiel was notably accompanied at this event by his esteemed wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Iliya Ezekiel, a revered pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, as well as hundreds of his devoted supporters drawn from across the constituencies of Donga, Takum, Ussa, and Yangtu, highlighting his extensive grassroots reach.


​Further demonstrating his respect for the cultural institutions of the state, Chief Ezekiel paid a traditional courtesy visit to Tii Dauda Umaru, the King of Suntai Bali. 


The visit served as an act of homage to the revered monarch, a gesture that resonates strongly with voters who value the preservation of custom and tradition.


​Hon. Chief Iliya Ezekiel tireless work in promoting peace and development, not just in Taraba State but specifically within his own community, has endeared him to the electorate.
