Rep Adesida's 'Light Up Akure' project continues to expand to additional streets and communities within the constituency
ADESIDA ADVANCED CONSTITUENCY DEVELOPMENT, INSTALLS SOLAR STREETLIGHTS IN ODA AND ALOGBA
As part of his commitment to improving security and enhancing public infrastructure across Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency, Hon. Derin Adesida has extended his ongoing solar streetlight project to additional communities, including Oda Town and Alogba Street in Alagbaka area of Akure.
The new installations, which form part of the Federal lawmaker’s broader “Light Up Akure” initiative, aim to improve nighttime visibility, enhance safety, and support social and economic activities within the benefiting neighborhoods. Residents of Oda and Alogba have expressed excitement and appreciation, noting that the new solar lights will help curb petty crimes, reduce road accidents, and boost local business activity after dark.
Speaking through his media team, Hon. Adesida reiterated his dedication to constituency development and emphasized that the solar streetlight expansion is one of several projects lined up to improve living conditions across communities.
He noted that sustainable lighting not only promotes security but also contributes to environmental consciousness and long-term cost savings.
Community leaders in Oda Town and Alogba praised the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that brings tangible improvements to daily life.
