A Legacy of Commitment to Education






Education has always been the heartbeat of Hon. Oguntodu Olajide Johnson’s vision for development.


Long before he became a public servant, his passion for empowering young people through education was already evident.


He personally paid school fees for indigent students, believing strongly that no child’s future should be cut short because of financial limitations.


In 2022, Hon. Oguntodu purchased 60 JAMB forms for students. Out of this number, 47 students gained admission into various tertiary institutions across Nigeria.


Beyond securing admission, he went further to support some of these students financially to help them settle and begin their academic journey successfully.


In 2023, his intervention expanded:

He provided 100 free JAMB forms to residents of Akure, and 69 students gained admission. Not stopping there, he supported 5 students with ₦500,000 each after they secured admission to study Medicine and other medical-related courses.


That same year, he also paid the WAEC fees for 10 students, ensuring they were not left behind at the secondary school level.


In 2024, Hon. Oguntodu once again distributed 100 free JAMB forms, with over 70 students gaining admission. Understanding the burden of entry into higher institutions, he supported several of them with acceptance fees, easing the pressure on their families.


In 2025, the educational intervention reached an even higher level. Hon. Oguntodu provided 100 free JAMB forms to students in Akure South, fully funded their four months of JAMB coaching, and also paid for their computer training. As a result, over 70 students gained admission into various institutions.


He also supported 7 students studying Medicine, medical-related courses, and Law, paid WAEC fees for 5 students, and awarded scholarships to indigent students from the constituency.


Looking ahead, on 3rd January 2026, Hon. Oguntodu Olajide Johnson will once again demonstrate his unwavering commitment to education by awarding bursaries to 130 students from Akure, to further support them in their academic pursuits.


Through these consistent and people-focused interventions, Hon. Oguntodu Olajide Johnson has touched countless lives and transformed the future of many families.


His record shows that his love for education is not built on promises, but on proven actions, sustained investment, and a deep belief that education remains the strongest foundation for community development.
