Ondo Senator, Adegbonmire Confers with Award of Excellence in Philanthropy by Oyemekun Grammar School Alumni Association.







The Oyemekun Grammar School Akure OGSA Global Alumni Association has conferred the prestigious Award of Excellence in Philanthropy and Community Development on the Distinguished Senator representing Ondo Central, Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire,SAN in recognition of his outstanding contributions to humanity, education, and grassroots development.


The award, presented at a well-attended alumni event, celebrates Senator Adegbonmire’s unwavering commitment to uplifting communities, supporting education, and empowering the less privileged across Ondo State and beyond. 


The Association noted that his consistent interventions—ranging from educational support and scholarships to community infrastructure and social welfare initiatives—reflect the enduring values of service, leadership, and excellence instilled by Oyemekun Grammar School.


Speaking during the conferment, the Alumni Association Global President, Dr. Adeniyi Ijogun said the award highlights the senator outstanding dedication to the development of human capital and infrastructure, notably his initiatives in constructing a world class hall, modern classrooms and the renovation of the school library.


He added that the proactive leadership of the senator has instilled hope and has had a significant positive impact on the lives within the school community.


In his remarks, Senator Adegbonmire represented by his Senior Legislative Aide,Hon. Akinloye Bolarinde expressed profound gratitude to the Association for finding him worthy of the award.


He reaffirmed his commitment to people-centered governance, pledging to continue investing in education, youth development, and community advancement.


He dedicated the award to his constituents whose trust continues to inspire his service.
