WHO DEY AKURE WEY WAN DO GOVERNOR? TIME TO WAKE UP!.... Series 1

The sadonic part be say, this question dey turn trendy anytime the quest for Akure governance come up like hot akara.

Akure na state capital with over 2 million people, where almost all leaders—from grassroots councilors to federal big boys—get house there or dey plan to dash come build one. 

Dem dey take Akure indigenes as neophytes, small children wey no sabi book? No wonder the Bible yarn say, "My people perish because dem lack knowledge" (Hosea 4:6).

Na ignorance dey kill us!


But e no go happen again! In this Akure Youth Media series, we go dey introduce Akure men and women of timber and caliber—those heavyweights wey fit wear the governor agbada and control from the center of Alagbaka, the street wey house Ondo State Government House.

Dem no be empty barrels wey dey make noise; dem get the muscle, brain, and roots to run Ondo like clockwork. Make we scatter that "no candidate" lie!


Why This Question Na Pure Nonsense:

Akure no be ghost town or village wey no get talent. Na here dem dey born leaders wey sabi turn vision to reality.

Every LGA for Ondo get rep for Akure—dem dey buy land, dey build mansion, even dey marry our daughters.

Yet when governor race hot up, dem dey ask "who dey Akure?" Like say na we no get liver or sense.

E be like say dem wan turn us to second-class citizens for our own land! But Akure blood dey hot; we no go gree.

1. The Political Warlords– These ones don chop federal and state house, sabi lobby and deliver projects. Dem get grassroots machine wey fit sweep Ondo clean. From Alagbaka to the villages, dem sabi the game.  


2. The Tech and Business Sharks – Akure-born hustlers wey don turn millions to billions abroad or for Lagos. Dem go bring digital money, fix roads with PPP, and make agriculture boom like palm oil goldmine. No more "no light" or "no water" wahala.  


3. The Traditional Powerhouses – Descendants of our high chiefs and palace insiders wey blend culture with modern rule. Dem sabi Iwarefa wisdom plus policy book. Dem fit unite quarters and LGAs without beef.  


4. The Youth and Women Firebrands – Sharp lawyers, doctors, and activists wey dey push for education and jobs. Dem no old school; dem get social media muscle to rally voters and fight corruption head-on.  


5. The Silent Achievers – Ex-commissioners, technocrats, and philanthropists wey don build schools and hospitals quiet-quiet. Dem no dey shout, but dem results dey speak volume. Governor material 100%.  


6. The Diaspora Returnees – Akure pikin wey don see how London and America dey run. Dem go upgrade Akure to smart city status, attract investors, and make Ondo the envy of Nigeria.
