HON. OBAMOYEGUN SET TO SPREAD RAMADAN JOY; TO DISTRIBUTE FOOD ITEMS TO MUSLIM FAITHFULS IN AKURE SOUTH.










In the spirit of compassion, unity, and shared humanity, Hon. Kemisola Obamoyegun (Oseniyan APC) will be distributing food items to members of the Muslim community in Akure South Local Government, as the holy month of Ramadan gradually comes to a close.


The thoughtful initiative is aimed at supporting Muslim faithfuls and their families as they prepare to celebrate the joyous occasion marking the end of the sacred period of fasting, prayer, reflection, and generosity. 


Ramadan remains a deeply spiritual time that embodies sacrifice, discipline, charity and values that continue to strengthen communities and inspire acts of kindness.


Hon. Obamoyegun noted that this gesture reflects her heartfelt commitment to standing with the people during meaningful moments of faith and celebration. 


She emphasized that leadership must always reflect empathy, compassion, and a genuine connection with the community.


Speaking briefly with journalists ahead of the event at her office in Alagbaka, Hon. Obamoyegun stated, “Ramadan teaches us the beauty of sacrifice, humility, and generosity. It is therefore important that we share in the joy of this season by extending kindness and support to our Muslim brothers and sisters as they prepare to celebrate the end of the holy month.” 


She also encouraged the faithful to continue to pray for the peace, unity, and progress of Ondo State, while remembering the Governor, Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, in their prayers for wisdom and strength to lead the state.


The food distribution exercise is expected to bring together members of the Muslim community in an atmosphere of fellowship, gratitude, and unity.
