Hon. Olakusibe Obayan Congratulates Taiwo Oyedele on His Appointment as Minister of State for Finance






Hon. Olakusibe Obayan has extended his warm congratulations to Mr. Taiwo Oyedele following his appointment as Minister of State for Finance by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the development as a significant recognition of competence, professionalism, and visionary leadership.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hon. Obayan commended President Tinubu for once again demonstrating confidence in the capacity of distinguished Nigerians by appointing another worthy indigene of Ondo State to serve at the highest level of national governance.


He described the nomination of Mr. Oyedele as both technically sound and strategically timely, noting that it reflects the President’s thoughtful and deliberate approach toward strengthening Nigeria’s fiscal management and economic reform agenda.

Hon. Obayan noted with pride that Mr. Oyedele shares an academic connection with him as an alumnus of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), an institution known for producing exceptional professionals who have made remarkable contributions to national development.


He described Oyedele as a technocrat of high repute whose professional accomplishments have earned him respect within Nigeria’s economic policy and financial reform circles.


A native of Ikaram Akoko in Ondo State, Mr. Oyedele has distinguished himself through years of dedicated service in fiscal policy, taxation, and economic advisory. 


Hon. Obayan particularly highlighted his outstanding performance as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, where he spearheaded significant reforms aimed at modernizing Nigeria’s tax system, improving revenue generation frameworks, and strengthening fiscal transparency.


According to Hon.
