In a significant move to ensure integrity within the ranks of the Nigeria Police Force, Honourable Justice Paul Adamu Galumje (Rtd), representing the Police Service Commission (PSC), led a high-powered delegation to Taraba State to monitor the ongoing national recruitment exercise.

Received on behalf of Governor Agbu Kefas by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Chief Barr. Gebon Timothy Kataps, Justice Galumje emphasized that his mission—mandated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu—is centered on upholding a recruitment process that is free, fair, and transparent.

The retired Justice underscored the Commission commitment to equity, assuring the state government that Taraba would receive its full and fair quota of new recruits while maintaining the highest professional standards.

During the engagement, Justice Galumje expressed profound appreciation for the hospitality of the Taraba State Government and its tangible support for the Commission local operations, including the provision of office accommodation and utility vehicles.

BABA GALUMJE lauded the state proactive stance on security, noting that such collaboration is essential for effective policing and the maintenance of law and order.

By focusing on the monitoring of the recruitment exercise, Galumje highlighted a critical constitutional responsibility aimed at building a police force that reflects the merit and diversity of the Nigerian people.

In response, Chief Barr. Gebon Timothy Kataps hailed Justice Galumje as a distinguished ambassador of Taraba State, praising his transition from a stellar judicial career to high-level national service.

The SGS reiterated Governor Agbu Kefas unwavering dedication to security, citing significant investments in operational vehicles, logistics, and infrastructure that have bolstered the Nigeria Police Force presence in the region.

The meeting, which was attended by top state officials including Chief Judge Justice Agya Joel Filibus, concluded with a renewed pledge of partnership between the state and the PSC to ensure lasting peace and safety for all residents.
