Adegbonmire Takes Second Term Campaign to Ondo East, Ondo West, Pays Homage to Former Governor Mimiko




Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN, representing Ondo Central Senatorial District at the Nigerian Senate, has continued his grassroots consultations ahead of the forthcoming party primaries, visiting Ondo East and Ondo West Local Government Areas as part of a wider second term visitation to party leaders across the district.


A highlight of the visit was a courtesy call on former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, in a gesture that underscored the senator's respect for the political and elder statesmen of the region. The visit was widely seen as a significant step in consolidating support ahead of the primaries.


Speaking during the engagements, Adegbonmire expressed appreciation for the warm reception extended to him by leaders across both local government areas and renewed his commitment to the people of Ondo Central.


"This tour is not just about seeking support for a second term. It is about accountability. It is about looking the people who believed in me in the eye and saying, here is what we have done, and here is what we will do more of," he said.


The senator also called on party leaders to stand firm and remain united, stressing that the best days for Ondo Central were still ahead.


"We have built a foundation of service and the people of this district deserve a senator who will continue to fight for them at the highest level. I am asking for the opportunity to finish what we started," Adegbonmire added.


Leaders in attendance in Ondo West included Dr Ajibayo Adeyeye , Hon Omolola Fagbemi , Hon Iranola Akinlaja, Hon Bernard Aro, Hon Wale Williams, Dr Ajilo Akintomide, Hon Ayodeji Ebenezer Akinsulire , Hon Bola Fisayo, Hon Joyce, Mrs Sarat Adelakun, and Hon Ogunya, among others.


In Ondo East, the visit also drew a strong gathering of party leaders and stakeholders, including Hon Charles Adeduro, Hon Charles Fagbojunka, former Council Chairman; Hon Jimoh Adebayo, LCDA Chairman; Hon Seyi Oguntimihen; Hon Olamigoke Busayo, Bullet Party Chairman; Alhaji Tiamiyu Luqman Adeleke, Local Government Youth Leader; Hon Mrs Roseline Okafor ; Hon Ishola Cathrine Apeke, SLG Ondo East; Dr Ajilo Akinmade; Okunade Adeniran; and Deacon Folorunsho Awoduyelimi, among others.


The leaders commended the senator for his consistency, accessibility, and the impact of his legislative work on the lives of ordinary people across the senatorial district.
