ONDO CENTRAL 2027: Akure North/South Welcome Adegbonmire in Thrilling Homecoming Campaign tour

Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN, representing Ondo Central Senatorial District at the Nigerian Senate, carried his second term consultation tour into the heart of Akure on Thursday, visiting both Akure North and Akure South Local Government Areas in what turned out to be one of the most emotionally charged legs of his grassroots engagements so far.

The visits carried a distinct homecoming atmosphere, with party leaders and elders receiving the senator with warmth and affection that reflected not just political solidarity but a deep personal bond rooted in history and shared identity. For many in attendance, the occasion was as much a celebration of the man as it was of the legacy he carries.

Elders at the engagement blessed the senator and took the opportunity to commend him for sustaining and honouring the political heritage of his late father, a legacy that continues to resonate deeply across the communities of Ondo Central. Their appreciation was genuine and unrestrained, offered not as political pleasantry but as the considered verdict of those who have watched the senator's journey closely.

Leaders across both local government areas also expressed gratitude for the senator's tangible contributions to development in the Akure area. Among the projects highlighted were renovations and improvements at Oyemekun Grammar School, the provision of transformers to address the persistent electricity challenges facing communities, the installation of streetlights across key locations, and a sustained scholarship scheme that has continued to support students from the district.

Leaders in attendance from Akure North included Hon Saka Yusuf Ogunleye , Hon Alabi Ebenezer, Hon Dayo Awude, Hon Dapo Filani, Alhaji Bayo Ebira, Hon Fagbemi Abass, Hon Dele Fagoriola, and Mr Taiwo, among others.

In Akure South, the delegation was received by Dr Dare Bada, Hon Olaniyi, Pastor Babalola, Hon Rasak Isijola, Hon Fesobi Akinmolayan, Hon Abitokun Jaja, Ayo Fadaka, Deaconess Abigail Ogungbade, Elder Ayo Alogba, Hon Afolabi Akinbowale, Hon Kolawole Ifedayo Roseline, Ogunleye Rotimi Williams, Chief Olu Ojo, and Hon Oyewamide Wande Ojo, Chief Bankole Ajayi, Hon Yinka Akosile among others.

The leaders spoke with one voice in commending the senator for his accessibility, his sense of accountability to his constituents, and the consistency of his legislative representation. They expressed strong backing for his second term bid and called on party members across the district to rally behind his candidacy ahead of the forthcoming primaries.
