A HEARTWARMING RETURN TO ROOTS AT CRCN LCC KUBWA (CHAPEL OF FAITH), ABUJA

Growing up in Taraba under the nurturing wings of the Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRCN), I was steeped in the timeless values of character, morals, modesty, and integrity.


The orthodox teachings emphasized good dressing among the youth, upright behavior, and a deep reverence for God, shaping my life profoundly. 


From afar, I've long admired the exceptional leadership of Rev. Dr. Ato Yohanna, whose wisdom and guidance have inspired many.


Today in the city of Abuja, I chose to step back into that familiar embrace, worshiping at CRCN's Local Church Council in Kubwa, known as the Chapel of Faith, under Rev. Dr Ato Yohanna spiritual oversight.


It felt like coming home to a place where faith isn't just spoken but lived out daily.


The service, masterfully conducted by Rev. Dr. Ato Yohanna, featured an uplifting message from guest minister Rev. Philemon Adishi. Drawing from the Scriptures in Acts 15:36-41 and 2 Timothy 4:9-11, Rev. Adishi spoke straight to the heart, reminding the congregation that in Christ, no one is ever useless.


Rev. Philemon painted a vivid picture of life's harsh judgments—how society often dismisses those who seem unproductive or overlooked. Yet, he declared with conviction, "You are not useless; you are uniquely valuable." 


Using the story of Apostle Luke as a powerful example from the Bible readings, he illustrated how even those cast aside can rise to significance through God's redemptive plan.


As the sermon unfolded, Rev. Adishi encouraged everyone that time has a way of turning tables: those who once rejected you will one day seek your alliance, especially when God's favor shines upon you.


Rev.philemon wrapped up with a stirring call to reconciliation, urging, "The moment you settle your heart with God, even your enemies will come knocking, begging for peace."


It was a message that lingered long after the final prayer, a reminder that in God's eyes, every soul holds purpose and potential, inviting us all to embrace our uniqueness and contribute meaningfully to the world around us.
