SECURITY AND LEGITIMACY:

AMPTECH ONDO STATE CHAPTER SETS NEW STANDARDS

Cracks Down On Quack Technicians

Amptech Ondo State Chapter Meeting on August 28, 2025

The meeting focused on eradicating quack mobile phone technicians in the state. Hon. Ajayi Temitope, also known as Engr. Favour, State President of Amptech, noted that some individuals falsely claim to be mobile phone technicians while engaging in unlawful activities. Amptech has partnered with the Nigeria Civil Defence Commission to eliminate such practitioners and urged other security agencies to cooperate in this effort, particularly around Oja Oba, Olukayode shopping mall, and other phone stores in Akure, the state capital.

To ensure legitimacy and safety, customers are advised to:

1. Look out for Amptech association stickers in technicians' shops or offices across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State.

2. Verify technicians' licenses and ID cards.

3. Avoid roadside technicians or those without permanent stores or shops.

4. Only engage with technicians who provide Amptech job cards.

If a technician lacks these identifiers, customers are cautioned against patronizing them, as they may engage in unlawful mobile phone repair and flashing activities.

These measures are in place to protect customers, and in case of any issues, they can report to the Amptech head office.

Members and executive arms of Amptech Ondo State Chapter are reminded to maintain professionalism and avoid any actions that could tarnish their reputation in their respective local governments.

Amptech's efforts aim to support Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa's initiatives in providing security and job opportunities for the people of Ondo State.
