Hon. Wellington Adebawo Hosts Officials of Federal and Ondo State Fire Services, Calls for Collaboration




The Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Emergency Response, Hon. (Prince) Wellington Oriade Adebawo, on Wednesday September 17, 2025 received officials of the Federal and State Fire Services in his office during a strategic courtesy engagement aimed at deepening collaboration in fire and emergency management.




In his address, Hon. (Prince) Adebawo warmly commended the tireless dedication and invaluable sacrifices of both agencies in combating fire outbreaks and safeguarding lives and property across the state.


He described their services as indispensable to the collective vision of building a safer and more resilient Ondo State.


He further reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, to ensuring the safety of lives and properties, while strengthening the state’s capacity to respond effectively to emergencies.


The Special Assistant urged the two fire departments to continue in their noble service and enjoined them to uphold unity of purpose. 


He emphasized that rivalry or conflict of interest must have no place in their operations, stressing instead the need for synergy, mutual respect, and seamless cooperation in the discharge of their duties.


In response, officials of the Federal Fire Service expressed profound appreciation to the Special Assistant for his fatherly role in harmonizing emergency response efforts in the state.


They lauded his consistent encouragement and support, which they noted has been pivotal to the efficiency of fire service. 


Likewise, the representative of the State Fire Service conveyed deep gratitude for the exemplary and visionary leadership of Hon. (Prince) Wellington.


He acknowledged the Special Assistant’s unwavering commitment to the growth and effectiveness of the State Fire Service, while assuring that the agency remains steadfast in its resolve to work harmoniously with all relevant stakeholders.


The meeting concluded on a highly positive note, with a renewed pledge by both the Federal and State Fire Services to strengthen their synergy and cooperation for a more effective, unified, and sustainable fire and emergency response framework in Ondo State.
