HON. AYO OLAWANDE WISDOM BRINGS LIGHT TO POTOKI COMMUNITY WITH SOLAR STREETLIGHTS





In a move that underscores his commitment to grassroots development and community well-being, the Honourable Minister of Youth, Ayo Olawande Wisdom, has provided solar streetlights to the Potoki area near Idanre Garage in Oke Aro, Akure South Local Government.


The initiative, which has already begun transforming the community, brings not only physical light but also renewed hope and a sense of safety to residents who have long struggled with inadequate street lighting. 


For years, Potoki residents faced insecurity, difficulty moving around at night, and hindered local economic activity due to darkness. 


With the installation of these solar streetlights, the atmosphere has changed dramatically in which businesses can stay open longer, roads are safer, and community life is vibrant again.


The Minister’s contribution is being celebrated as yet another example of his hands-on leadership and as a testament to his role as the face of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. 


Beyond national initiatives, Hon. Olawande has remained rooted in his community, ensuring that the people of Akure feel the positive impact of his position in government.


Local residents have expressed gratitude, describing the project as a blessing that has touched every household. Community leaders noted that the solar lights have restored confidence in leadership and demonstrated that true governance starts from the grassroots.
