A profound atmosphere of gratitude and celebration filled the CRCN No.1 Church in Takum yesterday as the congregation gathered to honor Rev. Istifanus Bala Bahago on his retirement and the launch of his autobiography, Honey from the Rock.

The ceremony, a vibrant testament to a life dedicated to service, was presided over by the CRCN President, Rev. (Dr) Isaiah Jirapye Magaji.

In his welcoming address, Rev. Magaji extended appreciation to a host of dignitaries, including the Chairman of the programme, Right Honorable Mark Bako Useni, PhD, and the Honorable Commissioner of the Police Service Commission, Justice Paul Adamu Galumje (Rtd), Distinguished Senator David S.U Jimkuta, alongside former CRCN Vice Presidents, pastors, and church members, all united to celebrate a man who has clearly "ended well" in his ministry.

The spiritual highlight of the event was the sermon delivered by Rev. Magaji, drawing from the texts of 2 Timothy 4:1-8 and Ecclesiastes 3:1 under the theme: "Ending Well."

Dr. Jirapye emphasized the biblical truth that "there's a time for everything" and reminded the congregation that a life fully submitted to God will always be used by Him for a divine purpose.

Rev. Magaji held up Rev. Bahago journey as a compelling example for all pastors and younger generations to emulate, stressing that true appreciation for a retiring minister should be shown not just through words, but by honoring their labor and connecting with the grace upon their life.

Declaring the official retirement, he noted that this new phase offers opportunities for deeper communion with God and provides the wisdom of counsel to the younger church leaders.

Further tributes poured in for the celebrated minister. Justice Paul Adamu Galumje (Rtd.), the Guest of Honour, acknowledged Rev. Bahago profound humility and dedication to his calling.

Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, CON, represented by his wife Mrs. Deborah Emmanuel Bwacha, also lauded Baba life of sacrifice and commitment to God and humanity over the years.

The event then transitioned to the launch of the book, "Honey from the Rock: Autobiography of Apostle Istifanus Bala Bahago."

The memoir, compiled by Fwaje Bawa of the University of Jos, chronicles a life shaped by hardship and challenges, transforming into a story of resilience and unwavering faith—a powerful testament to how he rose to the corridors of influence.

Honey from the Rock offers readers an intimate window into Rev. Bahago path, capturing his milestones, sacrifices, and determination through rare interviews, letters, and personal reflections.

The gathering was a powerful demonstration of the church love and gratitude, affirming that Rev. Bahago faithful service has left an indelible mark.

The community now looks forward to the continued blessings and guidance he will offer during his well-deserved retirement, as his life's work is officially chronicled for posterity and inspiration.

Congratulations dearest baba sir 🙏 🙌 ❤️ 👏
