As the year draws to a close, the halls of the State House of Assembly are buzzing with the high-stakes deliberations of budget allocations. Even amidst a critical session with four state commissioners, Hon. Mamuno—serving with distinction as the Majority Leader—maintains a grace that balances rigorous governance with a profound sense of family and community.


 Her presence in the chamber is a testament to a career built on merit, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the people of the Demsa Constituency.


I arrived her office this morning to find the Assembly in the heat of its most critical season: the end-of-year budget allocation meetings.


Within the office of the Majority Leader, the atmosphere was one of intense deliberation, with four State Commissioners in attendance to finalize the state fiscal future.


Despite the weight of these official proceedings, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno received me with the characteristic grace that has defined her career, pausing to introduce me in her office in the state house of Assembly to the key stakeholders present and seamlessly blending her roles as a high-ranking stateswoman and a dedicated matriarch.


​Hon. Kate Mamuno position as the Majority Leader of the Adamawa State House of Assembly is a testament to her formidable skill and resilience within a predominantly male political landscape. 


Representing the Demsa Constituency, she has earned a reputation as one of Nigeria most distinguished female legislators.


Hon.kate leadership is not merely defined by her title, but by her ability to navigate complex policy negotiations and command the respect of her peers. 


Seeing her command the room during such high-stakes budget discussions reinforced why she is widely regarded as a trailblazer for women in governance across the federation.


​Paying homage to "Mama Kate" in her official capacity this morning in yola was a moment of profound pride and a reminder of the impact one dedicated individual can have on a state’s trajectory.


To witness her work firsthand—balancing the intricate demands of legislative leadership with the warmth of her personal character—was a distinct honor.


Her journey remains a masterclass in public service and integrity. As she continues to guide the Demsa Constituency and the entire Adamawa Assembly toward a prosperous new year, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to stand in the presence of such an exemplary leader and call her my own.
