A MIRACLE ON WHEELS, JUSTICE PAUL ADAMU GALUMJE RESTORES HOPE TO WOMAN AFTER 15 YEARS OF SUFFERING

This morning in ​JALINGO – For Queen Tanko, a vibrant life was tragically interrupted fifteen years ago when a reckless vehicle crushed her dreams and both of her legs in the heart of Jalingo. Since that fateful day in 2008, her life has been a grueling marathon of pain, marked by thirteen unsuccessful surgeries spanning from Jos and Benue to the medical theaters of India. 


Despite the mounting medical bills and a looming suggestion for yet another surgery in Germany, the physical and emotional toll had left her spirit weary. 


However, this Yuletide season brought a transformation that years of clinical intervention could not—a gesture of pure humanity that has finally restored her independence.


In her family house this morning in Jalingo, ​The atmosphere turned deeply emotional as Retired Supreme Court Justice, Baba Paul Adamu Galumje, a man known for his legal brilliance and profound empathy, stepped in to change Queen Tanko narrative.


Baba justice Paul Adamu Galumje, Currently serving as a Commissioner in the Police Service Commission, Justice Galumje moved beyond the role of a neighbor to become a guardian angel.


Witnessing her decade-and-a-half struggle with mobility, Baba Galumje presented her with a state-of-the-art, rechargeable electronic mobile chair. This wasn’t just a piece of machinery; it was the key to a world she had been locked out of for nearly half her life.


Speaking immediately after the presentation of the mobile chair, "The Bible says love your neighbor as yourself," the Justice remarked, noting that seeing her struggle affected him personally and that he felt a divine calling to turn her disability into ability.


​The gift has left the Tanko family in a state of overwhelmed gratitude, describing it as the ultimate Christmas miracle.


Queen mother, Hon. Fibi Issa, tearfully recalled how Justice Galumje has been a constant pillar of support, often visiting their home just to offer words of comfort and cheer.


For Queen, who had spent years being moved from one hospital bed to another, the ability to navigate her world at the touch of a button is a life-altering blessing.


"I am speechless," she whispered, her eyes filled with tears of joy. "This is the best gift I have ever received." In an age where such selfless kindness is rare, the family continues to pray for the Baba Justice Paul Galumje, whose compassion has finally given a daughter of Taraba State a reason to smile again.
