The Police Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Command, DSP Jimoh Abayomi Kazeem, today engaged members of the Akure Youths Coalition in a strategic media dialogue aimed at addressing the growing concerns over insecurity in Akure.

The engagement, themed “Addressing the Surge of Insecurity in Akure: Collaborative Efforts of Law Enforcement and Youths,” provided a platform for open discussion on the roles both the police and the youth must play in ensuring a safer community.

In his remarks, DSP Jimoh emphasized the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to safeguarding lives and property, while also highlighting the importance of intelligence gathering, community policing, and trust-building between residents and security agencies.

He urged youths to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and proactive in sharing credible information that could aid ongoing security operations.

Members of the Akure Youths Coalition commended the initiative, noting that such engagements foster mutual understanding and strengthen the synergy required to combat criminal activities effectively. They also pledged their continued support in promoting peace and security across the metropolis.

The session was hosted by Ogundipe Seyi, who coordinated questions and contributions from participating youths, ensuring an interactive and impactful dialogue.
