The attention of the good people of Ondo Central Senatorial District has been drawn to the recent endorsement by Tayo Alasoadura of Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti for the 2027 senatorial race.

Ordinarily, such endorsements would deserve little or no response. However, given the clear undertone of political resentment and revisionism embedded in this move, it has become necessary to set the record straight.

Let it be stated unequivocally that this endorsement is not driven by the collective interest of the people, but by personal disappointment arising from a resounding electoral defeat. The emergence of  Sen. Adeniyi Adegbomire marked a decisive rejection by the people of Ondo Central of an era characterized by underwhelming representation and limited impact.

Since assuming office, Senator Adegbomire has not only redefined representation but has raised the bar to levels the district has not witnessed in years. His performance across education, technology, agriculture, employment, empowerment, and grassroots engagement has been nothing short of transformative.

In education, he has expanded access and support in ways that directly uplift the younger generation. In technology, he is positioning the district for the future, not the past. In agriculture, farmers are receiving real support—not mere promises. In employment and empowerment, lives are being changed, businesses are being supported, and hope is being restored.

Most importantly, Senator Adegbomire has maintained consistent, visible, and meaningful interaction with constituents across all six local government areas—something that was largely absent in previous years. The people are no longer disconnected from their representative; they are actively engaged, heard, and served.

It is therefore both ironic and unfortunate that individuals whose tenure failed to deliver comparable impact now seek to dictate the future of a district they could not transform when given the opportunity.

With due respect, this is a moment for political elders to reflect, not to attempt a return to relevance through endorsements that lack credibility with the people. The reality is simple: Ondo Central has moved forward.

The era of political complacency, invisibility, and underperformance has come to a definitive end. The district has entered a new phase—one defined by action, accountability, and measurable progress.

No amount of political alignment or orchestrated endorsements can erase the lived experiences of the people. They know the difference. They have seen the contrast. And they will not be misled.

Senator Adegbomire’s results are visible, verifiable, and widely acknowledged. His leadership has earned him the trust, respect, and continued support of the people—not through rhetoric, but through performance.

The message is clear: Ondo Central belongs to its people, not to political nostalgia or recycled ambitions.

2027 will not be a contest between names—it will be a referendum on performance. And on that scale, the verdict is already taking shape.
