Youth Minister Ayodele Olawande Unveils National Youth Conference 2026



Today, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the Honourable Minister for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, addressed a press conference to herald the much-anticipated National Youth Conference 2026, scheduled to hold in October.


With the theme, “Next Gen Nigeria: Crafting Solutions, Owning the Future,” the Minister disclosed that the two-week Confab will commence with a nationwide virtual consultation involving young Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, followed by a physical conference in Abuja with delegates from all 360 federal constituencies.


He stated that the Confab will provide an inclusive platform for young Nigerians to share their experiences, present practical solutions and contribute to policies on governance, employment, education, technology, climate action, security and social harmony.


According to the Honourable Minister, this will not be another conference where speeches are delivered and reports are forgotten. He affirmed that clear mechanisms are being established to track commitments and translate the outcomes into measurable action.


He encouraged every young Nigerian to participate actively as they work together to develop solutions, take ownership of the future and build the Nigeria they want.
