PBAT Continuity Project Mourns Fasoranti, Says South-West Lost Towering Figure

PBAT CONTINUITY PROJECT MOURNS FASORANTI, SAYS SOUTHWEST LOST TOWERING FIGURE

The PBAT Continuity Project, PCP has described the passing of Afenifere leader and Elderstatesman, Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti as the exit of a towering voice and figure especially in Southwest, Nigeria.

The PCP said Pa Fasoranti's death is not just the loss of a leader of Afenifere, but the loss of a national icon and the last standing pillar of the Awolowo political dynasty.

The PCP while reacting to the death of Chief Fasoranti in Akure at 100yrs notes that his high level of integrity, selflessness and deep commitment to national development during his lifetime were unmatched.

A statement by the PCP Director-General, Pastor Femi Agagu says the passing of the national icon has left a big shoe that will be difficult to fill as an educationist, revered father, leader and national icon who built future leaders who have made great impacts in their respective fields.

"A national monument has fallen, but his legacies of integrity, courage and selfless service will continue to linger. Pa Fasoranti never compromised his principles of true federalism, social justice, free education and welfare for the masses".

According to the Tinubu Support Group "Baba's exit at 100yrs is indeed the end of a remarkable era in Nigerian history having lived through colonialism, independence, military rule and democracy, and remained steadfast to the ideals of Chief Obafemi Awolowo till his last breath. He was a NADECO chieftain, a democrat, and a symbol of courage".

"From the classrooms where he built future leaders as a foremost educationist, to the Executive Council of Old Ondo State as Commissioner for Finance where he served with legendary integrity under Pa Adekunle Ajasin, to leading Afenifere since 2008 through turbulent waters, he never compromised his principles of true federalism, social justice, free education and welfare for the masses" the PCP said.

The PBAT Continuity Project therefore commiserates with the entire Fasoranti's family, Afenifere group, the entire people of Ondo state and all others who mourn him, praying God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
