2027: City Boy Movement, Akure South Visits NDDC ED, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde (ABENA)

COURTESY VISIT: City Boy Movement, Akure South Chapter Pays Courtesy Visit to NDDC Executive Director, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde ABENA, Strategizes for Tinubu's Re-election



The leadership of the City Boy Movement, Akure South Chapter, has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Director, Corporate Services of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde Abena, in Akure.


During the visit, the delegation led by the coordinator Hon. Akinlolu Vincent Oyetunde briefed the Executive Director on the activities, structure and operational mandate of the City Boy Movement, a youth-driven support group committed to promoting the ideals and policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.


In his response, Hon. Abegunde appreciated the City Boy Movement for identifying with him and for their unwavering support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.


He expressed profound gratitude to President Tinubu for finding him worthy of appointment as Executive Director, Corporate Services of the NDDC, describing it as a call to serve the Niger Delta and the nation at large.


Hon. Abegunde urged members of the movement and all well-meaning Nigerians to continue to pray for the successful tenure of President Tinubu, whom he described as a good man, a kind-hearted leader and a natural giver, whom God has purposely entrusted with the affairs of the nation at this critical time.


Reflecting on his political journey, the Asiwaju of Akure Kingdom recounted his service as a ranking member of the House of Representatives, as Secretary to the Ondo State Government under the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, and now as Executive Director, Corporate Services, NDDC.


He noted that his experience has positioned him as a respected leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State.


Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Hon. Akinlolu Vincent (Seven Star), thanked God for the life and elevation of Hon. Abegunde and formally briefed the Asiwaju of Akure on the vision and programmes of the City Boy Movement.


He stated that the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 remains paramount and is the genuine reason for the ongoing visitation and mobilization drive across the state.


He described Hon. Abegunde as a staunch party man and a loyal supporter of the President.


Reminiscing on the good deeds and bold reforms of President Tinubu, Hon. Akinlolu said it is time for all supporters to move en masse to canvass and properly project the policies and achievements of the present administration to the grassroots.


In his closing remarks, Asiwaju Abegunde commended the City Boy Movement for engaging him and assured them of more inclusive representation of the youth and women of Akure and Ondo State in general in the activities of the Commission.
