Reps Member, Adesida, Hails Commencement Of Akure-Idanre Road Dualization


... Urges Speedy Completion Of Ijoka, Igoba, Oda Projects






The lawmaker representing Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Prince Abiodun Derin Adesida, has congratulated the good people of Akure and Idanre on the official flag-off of the dualization of the Akure-Idanre Road.




He commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for this laudable initiative, describing it as a long awaited development that will boost connectivity, ease transportation and enhance economic activities in the region.


Adesida, while expressing his appreciation, also used the opportunity to urge the governor to accelerate the completion of other critical road projects within Akure, especially Ijoka, Igoba and Oda roads, which are of immense importance to residents and commuters.


The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to the infrastructural development of Akure and its environs. 


He pledged continued collaboration with the state government to ensure the prosperity and wellbeing of his constituents.

2027 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE SENT TO PRISON  Written by Lola Rakeem on June 22, 2026    2027 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) Omoyele Sowore has been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre after a Federal High Court in Abuja ordered his detention. The order was given by Justice Mohammed Umar following the revocation of Sowore’s bail and the issuance of a bench warrant for his arrest. Sowore appeared in court on Monday carrying a travel bag and was accompanied by supporters who gathered at the court premises with placards.
