FORMER ONDO DEPUTY GOVERNOR, OMOLADE OLUWATERU JOINS APC, PICKS MEMBERSHIP CARD







The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has received a major political boost with the formal defection of a former Deputy Governor of the state, Chief Omolade Oluwateru, into the party.


Oluwateru officially joined the APC in his ward, where he was warmly received by party leaders and faithful, and was presented with his membership card, marking his full return into the progressive family.


Speaking at the brief but symbolic event, the former Deputy Governor and one time Nigeria Ambassador to the Republic of Greece pledged his total loyalty to the APC and assured the party of his unwavering support at all levels, stressing that his decision was driven by his desire to contribute meaningfully to the growth, stability and electoral strength of the party in Ondo State.


According to him, the APC remains the only platform with the capacity, structure and vision to deliver good governance, sustain development and secure a prosperous future for the people of Ondo State.


Party leaders in the ward described his entry into the APC as a strategic and timely addition, noting that his experience in governance and politics will further strengthen the party’s base and consolidate its dominance across the state.


They assured him of full integration into the party and expressed confidence that his defection would inspire more political heavyweights and grassroots supporters to rally around the APC.


The defection of Chief Omolade Oluwateru is being widely seen as another clear signal that the APC continues to grow stronger and more attractive as Ondo State moves closer to the next political contest.


Present at the occasion to receive the former deputy governor to the progressive family includes: Vice Chairman Akure South,Hon. Ayodele Adebayo; Chairman Akure South Ward 4, Chief Isola Alade; Akure South Ward 4 Councillor, Hon. Akinsulu Samuel; SA to the State Governor on mobilization, Hon. Yinka Akosile ; 


Others were: Akure South Woman Leader, Mrs. Foluke Daramola, Secretary Ward 4, Mr. Gbenga Bayode; Ward 4 Woman Leader, Mrs. Ilesanmi Kemi among others.
